The Master thesis of Sten Sipma entitled "An Evolutionary Model for the Milky Way’s Corona" was awarded the 2025 KHMW Jong Talent Afstudeerprijzen voor Sterrenkunde
Honorable mention in the Christiaan Huygens Science Award
Pavel Mancera Piña won an honorable mention for his PhD thesis. This award is given by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences to the best three PhD theses in the Netherlands of the years 2022-2024 in space-related sciences.
The PhD thesis of Pavel Mancera Piña was awarded the 2022 KNG Van Swinderen prize for the best thesis of the faculties of Science and Engineering and Medical Sciences.
